CaDA Initial D / BrickHead

Hello Friends:

We got our hands on two of the CaDA Initial D figures. For those of you who are not from the world of Manga, Initial D is a HUGE star and this year marks the 25th anniversary of his creation: Initial D!!

This is a set that has all the 6 characters and we got - Takumi Fujiwara (CaDA C55001) and Kyouichi Sudou (CaDA C55003) for the kids.

CaDA has worked on a large collaboration to celebrate 25th anniversary of Initial D.

CaDA's website has pictures to multiple creations from this collaboration.

This entire project is a licensed creation and CaDA- you get points for respecting the IP rights of Shuichi Shigeno. The project covers multiple cars (1:12.5) scale and 6 minifigures.

Each of the brickhead figures comes in a small box. The box has some artwork on the side. Inside, there is a single instruction book + 2 small bags containing the pieces + the CaDA brick separator.

It will take between 20-45 minutes to make one brickhead.

Our final views:

  1. CaDA bricks are very good quality and we had no missing pieces. The Eyes/ dress bricks are good quality prints (no stickers here).

  2. No loose bricks/ loose clutch for these sets.

  3. The final item is a very sturdy and compact brickhead.

  4. These are small enough to be kept on your table / near books etc.

Bonus:
5. CaDA has kept printed tiles carrying the names for each character + a separate white printed tile marking the 25th anniversary – so, no sticker business – extra marks for this premium touch.

A must buy for Initial D fans and even for not so serious fans like us, we found these small kits really nice to keep on the tables :-)

We have uploaded pics of the 2 sets on our Reddit thread, here.
